"Before BGT, I kept saying, “I want to build structure.” But honestly, I didn’t know what “structure” really meant or how to start. I enrolled for the BGT progra, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my business. My biggest shift came early on, when I finally understood what it means to build a business with vision and mission. Before BGT, I had an idea of where I wanted to go but it was all in my head. Nothing was defined, nothing was communicated. Inside BGT, I was able to clearly write out and define the vision and mission for my company for the first time. One of the challenges I used to face was working with staff who were either semi-literate or not literate at all. I used to wonder, “How do I implement big ideas and structure when my staff can barely read?” But BGT taught me that structure is about people, and you can build around what you have. BGT helped me create a structure where my team knows what we’re building, where we’re going, and how their role contributes to it. Now, my daily involvement has dropped by almost 80%. I’m no longer everywhere, doing everything. I am now building a business that doesn’t revolve around me.
